10 Outdoor Storage Organizers for Your Home

Ever since we moved across the country to another state (from Chicago to PA), we’ve been struggling with our storage systems, both outdoor and indoor. Our house literally has no indoor and outdoor storage areas and our clothes closets are “yay” big (about 3 ft long). More than half of our clothing is not even organized due to the fact that our closets are so small. They are currently thrown in bins or overflowing to the floors:(

Our Home Has No Outdoor Storage Systems

As far as the outside goes, that’s being a total struggle for me. We don’t own a garage as in our previous homes, no back deck, no fenced areas and there’s no storage shed (heard we need approval to get one). Even if we did get a shed I don’t think we have the yard space to put it. We do have a tiny part in back side of the house but it’s tiny, not paved, and tends to have bugs and such since it’s under the house. It would be nice to DIY a project but so far, I don’t have the inspiration as to what that should be.

I can’t tell you how long I’ve been looking to find solutions for the storage out there, especially during the summer time. It’s the time when we bring out the kids bikes from the basement, scooters, sand boxes, water play items, etc. Everything tends to end up all over the place which doesn’t create a neat look in front and around the house. Not only does it make me feel like I don’t care what our home looks like but it also says a lot about us to our onlookers.

How We Keep Our Homes Says Plenty About Us!

What’s the first thought that comes to your mind when you see stuff all over your neighbour’s yard or front porch? Think about that for a second. It’s how I feel about our home, too. As a result, I’ve been looking online to come up with something. These images are samples of our outdoor. I don’t consider this organized – We’d move all the floats to the basement until we could figure out a plan. They were ALL over the place.

Outdoor Storage Organizers

I recently did a search and came up with some ideas that I think would work, at least one or two of them will have to work. They are suitable for the outdoor weather conditions with materials being either resin or mesh.

  • Got kids items that you can’t seem to figure out how to store neatly outside?
  • Got a pool but no pool house?
  • Got outdoor cleaning products and gardening tools you need to store someplace?
  • Maybe you need a place to store porch seating necessities (cushions, pillows, throws).

Maybe you are in a similar situation like me. You don’t have outdoor storage and you can’t really add a shed. If you are on the look out for something to organize the outside of your home, I hope one of these would stand out to you.
