It’s amazing how we could add a touch of personalization and even save a little money if we could make a few DIYs for our home. I don’t make as much but every now and then, I try to think of something I could re-purpose or make new for our home, such as this home decor piece. I bought this beautiful console table from Wayfair and decided to use this sign on it to beautify our entryway.

This was a wooden home decor piece that was a tad too rustic for my taste so I repainted it and gave it a makeover. The original color was aqua – I used some white paint and walnut stain to change the color.

I picked up some letters from Michael’s Craft store and some Velcro command strips to add the letters to the frame. It was super quick! I figured if I wanted to change it out it would a quick snap.

Step 1: Cut command strips, add to the back of wooden letters as seen in the following photo. Cut additional strips and attach to the Velcro on each side of the letters. Be sure to keep the stick part facing up (your side).

Step 2: Attach the letters to the frame, making sure to line them up nicely. Also, press each one firmly to make sure it sticks to the frame.

Step 3 (optional): Add picture hanger hook if needed. The original frame was made to hang vertically (black hook). I added an additional picture hanging hook (gold hook) on one side of the frame so I could hang it horizontally.

And with that the frame was done and ready for hanging. I think it turned out cute but I am a girl who loves color (literally) so I wondered if I should have painted the letters first. If I decide to add color, the letters would be easy to remove since they are only attached with command strips.Easy DIY Sign for H.O.M.E - Home Decorating Made Easy - At H With Zan

I think it could be placed anywhere (table or wall) and in practically any room in the home to make a statement. What do you think?
