Easy Photo Frame Decor for Kids Room

Thanks for Sharing!

I’ve held up on posting about the girl’s room that I was decorating and organizing back in the Spring. That’s not to say that there was no progress made. In fact, we’ve worked on it during the Spring into the summer and made a few little DIYs to add to it. This photo frame decor is one of those DIYs. It’s made from an old 5 x 7 photo frame. All the little hooks at the back of the frame had fallen out so there was nothing to hold the mirror. I thought maybe I could create something small for the girls room using the frame along with some fabric buttons they had for crafting.

I do believe that updating your kids room(s) does not have to be expensive. There are just so many cute things you can make with the kids to add to their rooms. Just think about the many crafts you or their teacher(s) have done with them that they want to display somewhere in the room. Isn’t it amazing how they get fascinated from simple crafts? Now I do admit that we don’t have much DIYs because sometimes it’s easier to buy rather than having to make. But we made this button frame and a couple other items for their room that we think are too cute.

Step 1: First, I gave it a few coats of white paint. The girls room is in pink; I wanted to add a few pops of white here and there.

Step 2: When the frame was dried I hot glued a few fabric buttons we had on hand. All done! It was super easy to make and the girls love it.

It’s not anywhere specific yet. It’s just sitting on a table top. I thought it would look great on a gallery wall of some sort.

How do you update your kids room(s) with decor? Do you make a bunch or is it easier to just pop into a store and buy something (like me)? Share your thoughts in the comments.
