I’m always trying to find ways to make our kids treats healthier. Our kids enjoy donuts and while we do buy them from donut shops, I’ve recently started trying my own versions, thanks to our Dash Express Mini Donut Maker. The donut maker does come with a mini recipe book which gives me a few starter ideas. There’s no pumpkin donut recipe in the cookbook but I was able to look at the base of the recipes included and substitute ingredients to create my own.

Healthy Donuts for Kids – They Enjoyed It!

The kids really enjoyed these mini donuts, that it even surprised me how much they liked it. The best part is that there’s no refined or brown sugar in the mix, and the butter is plant based. These easy substitutes make these mini donuts heathier than if I had used regular ingredients.

  1. Donuts are one of my go-to breakfast snacks from Dunkin. The donut maker makes these donuts healthier. In addition, love the use of plant-based butter. The pumpkin dressings and icing on top make it even more appealing.
