I saw this idea somewhere on line but cannot remember where exactly.
This activity might be more suitable for older kids because it could get into a toddler’s eyes. However, I closely watched my toddler as she played with it for a few minutes. It was beautiful to watch!
All you need is one bar of Ivory soap. I heard that other soaps may not work well.
Directions: Place the soap in the microwave. Heat about 90 seconds. Stand back and watch it form.
This is what it turned into a beautiful foam cloud.
My little one was amazed! Here she is turning up her face at the strong smell of Ivory soap.
Ideas for using the cloud:
1). The kids could use this cloud to form many other little soap bars. Just add a little water to hold the shape.
2). They could also form it into a flat dough and use cookie cutters to make smaller shapes or whatever ideas you may come up up with.
3). These smaller soaps can be placed in a nice decorative jar in the bathroom.
We added some food coloring and then made smaller soaps. They are not too perfect but it was fun.
