1. Thursday – Yu Kids Island
Last Thursday, I took our 6 month old baby to JCPenny’s for her 6 month photo shoot. At the mall, there is a play/birthday party hosting place for kids. It is calledYu Kids Island. We took our first daughter there for her 2nd birthday and she fell in love with the place (see post here). Although we have taken her back maybe over 5 times already, she is still constantly asking to go again.
Anyway, I thought it would be nice to let her go play there after the photo shoot. She went crazy (she is only 2 and 1/2 years old)! She kept on jumping on the bouncer until a man who was there with his kids stood there in amazement at her. He told me that she really has energy and he was just surprised at how much she was jumping on the bouncer and how good she was at it.
These are some photos we took from there.

2. Friday – Chuck E. Cheese’s
On Friday, we took her to Chuck E. Cheese’s. It was her first time going there and again, she loved it! I had only been there (at another location) one time before my nephew’s birthday party. I could not stand the loud noise of that place and bumping into the many little kids who were there on that day. In addition, there were 4 or 5 other birthday parties there on that same day. Needless to say, I thought that would be too much for our little one.
But hubby and I had discussed going to the Mall on Friday and while there we would let her play in an open play area for kids inside the mall (see my post on this here). She had our hopes up but we changed plans and decided to just go out and eat instead. Hubby talked about maybe trying Chuck E. Cheese’s so that our daughter could play. I was kind of skeptical – thinking about the loud music and thick kids crowd that might be there. Surprisingly, there was not too many kids there that night and the music was not way too loud. It was a good night to be at Chuck E. Cheese’s. And as soon as we left, a thunderstorm came. But we made it home safely and got to enjoy the rest of the night listening to the heavy rains!

3. Saturday – Knuton’s Country Harvest
On Saturday, we went to pick fresh fruits and vegetables on a farm. It was about an hour’s dive both going and coming but it was well worth the trip. When my husband and I got married, this was one of the activities we loved doing. But then we moved to another state and the farms just seemed to be too far away. In addition, we just could not seem to find the right timing to go. Every time we called around, the fruits and veges were not ready yet. And then other things would just get in our way, and we would not be able to go.
However, this past Saturday we got to take our little family of four to a fruit and vege farm. It was so relaxing for us. Our little toddler loved it – she loved eating all the blueberries. Her daddy kept on telling her that she needs to put some in the basket. Well, she did but a vast majority ended up in her mouth. Normally, she refuses to eat blueberries. But I guess the whole experience of seeing it on a little tree and picking it was just great for her. Also, one cannot beat the freshness of food picked on a farm – no preservatives! In addition, she ate some more of it again at home today. Yummy!!!!
Overall, it was a good experience for her. Both she and her little baby sister did well on the trip. We hope to go back again in the fall or maybe go to another one.
Below are the photos from our trip. (I am a bit disappointed, somehow, I cannot find the rest of the photos. I took them with my phone and something went wrong. I will try to find them and then update this post later.
