We attended a Professional Soccer game last weekend and it was so fun! Charleston Battery vs Detroit City FC either 1:1 being the score. My husband’s work had a partnership with Charleston Battery Team for his college night event - I guess to bring more awareness to the community and to offer college scholarships (to that effect).
My son plays soccer but this was the first grown-up one I’ve attended in years. And by years I’m referring to High School. I used to love watching my older brother and his friends compete against other teams.
Our son also finished up his last soccer game of this season for the city. And has started basketball at his school!
Same daughter from previous post (standing here with black knee pads and white bow) finished up her last volleyball game of the season Monday. They were technically down last week but went on to championship and placed 2nd. Her school team was amazing! She took up Volleyball with full force and was so dedicated, alternating between soccer and volleyball on days when both sport had a game the same day. Sometimes we’ll finish soccer game or a practice and head straight to a volleyball game at another location. That’s exactly what happened on Monday when both last games were scheduled one after the other. She chose to do both. Thankfully the soccer field isn’t far from the recreation center. Such dedication! Now she wants to do Tennis again since the other sports are over!
Finished up her soccer season and did a great job! Her second season! They also got championship amongst all the other teams! Way to go kids plus the coaches,
