DIY Easter Egg Wreath
I don’t think I’ve ever made an Easter Egg Wreath or any kind of Easter Wreaths before. I’ve made several Spring, Summer, Fall & have bought and accentuated Christmas wreaths but it just never occurred to me have an Easter one. I guess I always saw eggs, birds snd what nots and just did feel up to it.
But this year, I figured I should add a little something for the sake of the kids. When I couldn’t find an Egg wreath at Michael’s Craft Stores, my 8 year old who was with me suggested I make one. And here we are – I made one.
Watch this video to see how I made it. The full instructions are also listed below.
DIY Easter Egg Wreath
Materials
- 1 Grapevine Wreath (I believe mine was 8 inches but you could use a larger one)
- 2 Packs Decorative Easter Eggs (more if needed)
- Glue Gun
- White Spray Paint
Directions
- Paint Wreath: Layer wrapping paper or old newspaper to protect the area. Spray one side of the wreath, then allow it to dry. Add another coat or two. Repeat drying steps.
- Once dried, turn the wreath over and spray the other side. Allow it to dry, then repeat the steps by adding another coat or two. Let dry fully.
- When it’s fully dried, use hot glue to add eggs to one side of the wreath. Fill in the sides too. There’s no need to put eggs on the opposite side of the wreath (the bottom).
- Note: As the wreath gets fuller, some eggs may get a bit trickier to stay on. Use hot glue to hold them in place for a minute before letting go. Don’t worry about perfection, just that the eggs aren’t falling off.
- Finally, sprinkle hot glue between eggs to make sure everything is secure.
- Once everything looks great, your wreath is ready for hanging.
- Optional: You could add a ribbon to accentuate the wreath if you so desire.
