Throw your little one a Pokémon Birthday Party with these ideas.
Our little boy turned 8 this past December and we threw him a Pokémon Birthday Party. I’ve got two questions about this – How did he get to 8 already and when did he start getting into this Pokémon situation? Well, I guess you got to roll with the times and cherish these growing up and moving unto new things days.
He got into Pokémon once he started going to school this year (1st grade). It’s his first year of school outdoor, we homeschooled last year. Pokémon cards, mainly. Anyways, turning 8 is a milestone and we wanted to make his day special as always. He wanted Pokémon so that’s exactly what we did. This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.

Pokémon Birthday Party Favors
Party Favor Bags – We used plain red and yellow bags but here are some fun ones from Amazon. We even ordered this set that I didn’t use. There was not enough to go around so I ended up just using plain bags in Pokémon colors. In the favor bags we put a combo of:
- Pokémon Trading Cards
- Hot Wheels
- Dinosaurs
- Color-Changing Cups
- Bubble Necklaces
- Candy from the Pinata (which we forgot to use)
Jump Castle
My son really loves bouncing and jumping on these bounce houses. We brought in one for his special day.
Games – Magician (Bonus)
Here’s the fun part, we hired a Magician to come out to do a show for the party. He did games and a Magic show which really helped take off some of the pressure on my husband and I. You see, we had two birthday parties that same day, this was the first one. We needed all the help and extra hands we could get. Having the Magician do the games was such a huge help. I have some photos and videos, needing to get permission from some parents before adding them here.
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalm 127:4).
