Moving is never easy, especially when uprooting your family and relocating to a whole new unfamiliar area. Here’s an update about our family and our plan for yet another move.
Our family has decided to move from Pennsylvania to South Carolina this summer. My husband resigned his job here at Geneva in PA and is going to be working at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC. We move at the end of June and that is almost here already. We’ve been busy selling our house and packing for yet another big move (See our PA move here). It’s been a lot of changes for our little family these past few years.
Moving to SC
My husband was hoping for our family to settle down here but things didn’t work out. It was not an easy decision to do another big move since it’s only being two years of relocating here. But we felt like we weren’t settled and decided to make a change.
Thankfully, our house went under contract just two days into showings. We had 3 families within 2 days and one of them decided they loved it and the area enough to buy right away. It’s a single mom with little kids, I think she’s part of the Navy and wanted to move closer to her job and also find greater schools for her kids. That’s exciting for them.
The housing market is very crazy these days so it’s no surprise that most homes are selling within a day or two. So we are selling and moving and I wanted to let you know about that. We are hoping that things would turn out better and trusting in God that this is a right call. Please pray with us that God would direct us regarding this move. Thank you, friends.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalm 16:11).
