I think one more from this Halloween that I said to myself I was not going to take photos - Still a ton of people but I think we finished up faster than usual this year. Our street is usually packed with crowds since some of the neighbors gave away more than just candy. One of the main ones in the red house across from us (swipe) moved to a different state and used go really big…. with DIY decor and drinks and all kinds of stuff! It was a crowd pleaser. The streets were quiet early this year! I didn’t walk around this time though. Just enjoyed staying around and giving candy:)
The giant cauldron was a DIY by my eldest and I. She actually did the entire thing. She wanted to. We should have installed twinkle lights under the bubbles instead of waiting for after. So we just left it out. The kids painted the pumpkins.
Also, the Teal Pumpkin Project - I’ve always wanted to do one for kids who may have food allergies but still want to enjoy Trick-or-Treating. They could pick a small toy or two. Some were impressed by this but so many smaller kids were interested in the toys, food allergies or not.
Anyways, lots of candy & small toys were given out!
Our 1/2 done decor. We just couldn’t get it right this time… and eventually decided this is good enough. I don’t really know that I intended to decorate in the first place. Everyone around seems to like this little fire pit scenario though.
