Cranberry sauce is such a classic Holiday Side Dish. Peer it with a side of Mashed potatoes and turkey or whatever protein you eat on Thanksgiving or Christmas for a Savory-Tangy-Sweet combination.
Cranberry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Bag Cranberries (washed)
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Orange, peeled but save the peel
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- A Dash of Cloves
Directions:
- Put Cranberries, sugar and water in a saucepan.
- Add cinnamon sticks, about 4 small pieces of Orange peel, nutmeg & clover.
- Squeeze oranges over mixture in pot.
- Add water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook about 10 minutes or until cranberries have turned into a Cranberry sauce.
