Bowling for Families – Things to do in Charleston, SC
Now that it is summer time and the kids are home, we are constantly looking for activities to do with the kids and as a family. One of the activities we’ve done these past two summers, last year and this year, is to go bowling.
Going Bowling
Personally, we don’t go bowling frequently and we aren’t professionals but we do bowl for fun. My college roommates & friends used to bowl in college, then after the kids, we took them to a Arcade where bowling was optional. But they loved it whenever we went. Then for my birthday in 2023, we went with friends to bowl in one of the nearby locations in our current home town. We also went bowling in Stars and Strikes with some of these same friends.
Then last year we took the kids for summer to bowl at Stars and Strikes (we all bowled as family). There was mini bowling in Great Wolf Lodge that we enjoyed this past Spring break! This year, I added it to the list of Summer activities for the kids and I took them recently, nearby by myself.
It was sort of a rainy day but we waited the rain and thunderstorms out before we left the house. We only did one round of games since it was just the kids and I. I didn’t think we’d one to stay for two and sure thing, one round of games was enough.
If you’re new to Charleston, SC and are looking for things to do, and your family has enjoyed bowling in your previous home bowling may be an activity to consider.
