Candied Ginger-Spiced Nuts make a delicious treat and a warm homemade gift during the holidays!
Ginger-Spiced Nuts
Not all spiced nuts are created equal. I pick and choose which to buy as I don’t like them when they’re too hard to eat. Creating a homemade version gave me the ability to roast mine to a texture that I can enjoy and to add ingredients to customize taste.
Christmas Spiced Nut Mix
- 2 Cups Nuts (I used Pecans and Walnuts)
- 1/2 Cup Dried Cranberries (optional)
- 3 TBSP Honey
- 1 TBSP Olive Oil
- 1 Egg White
- 1-1/2 tsp Ginger
- 1/2 tsp All-Spice
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Add nuts & cranberries to a bowl. Stir in spices.
- Mix Honey, oil, egg white together in a separate bowl.
- Combine nuts with honey/spice mixture.
- Pour and spread mixture on the lined baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 mins.
- Remove baked nuts from the oven and allow to cool.
- Break nuts into individual pieces. Stir in White Chocolate.
- Enjoy.
