Family Camping Getaway for a few days - The kids had early release from school on Friday (first time early off early on Halloween) and off Monday for Parent/Teacher conferences & also off and Tuesday for election. The original idea was to drive to Disney Thursday night in time for Halloween on Friday, then enjoy time in Orlando & drive back Monday night or Tuesday morning.

The kids wanted to do Trick-or-Treating with their friends so we decided since that will be less time and we’ll miss the Halloween events at Disney, to just stay closer and head to the mountains in NC. But we stopped at Carowinds Amusement park before heading to the cabin.🏕️

They did scare-o-winds at night with jump scares and haunted house. We didn’t do the haunted house but did get scared by others🎃

Some years I did a lot as far as Fall decor, especially in our precious homes and other times when I collaborated with companies. Happy to have done absolutely nothing this time. I did switch the Pink flowers for my faux foliage on the mantle but I think those foliage may have already been out all yr, just in another location (don’t remember because they’ve been on the mantle since summer) and I just threw that blanket on the chair for the photo:) Those candle stands were there, removed but placed back there while I figure out where to put them:)

High School Orchestra - Our eldest has been playing from 6th grade and now in 9th, has been placed as gifted & talented. As a result, she also now plays in district orchestra. Her new teacher in HS is very impressed with her; she just moved her up to 3rd Chair in violin position. I guess her practice and dedication is paying off!

Our son also finished up his last soccer game of this season for the city. And has started basketball at his school!
