Our Daughter’s 13th Birthday Party – Birthday Party Ideas for 13 Year Olds – New Teens

Thanks for Sharing!

Our second daughter turned 13 this past December. Her birthday party turned out to be so much fun more than what we probably would have planned. She wanted a party at home. However, things did not work out as planned so we decided on an Indoor Trampoline park instead. That idea was supposed to be until we got around to the party at home. However, the kids had so much fun we felt like we did not need a do-over. Although my daughter was disappointed at first, she did mention to me that she didn’t think we’d have to do the party a second time and that she thinks going to the trampoline park with her friends was enough (and that was before we left the party). Sure enough, the trampoline park with friends turned out to be so much fun. Bu that was not all. After the Trampoline park, the friends all came over to our house to keep the party going. They enjoyed pizza, crafts, playing on our trampoline, and just hanging out with each other. We also had a sleepover for our daughter that night with some of the girls. That too was a blast! It was loud at times but I think overall, enjoyable. During the sleepover, I provided a snack board and drinks and the girls did decorative little mirrors and brushes. They turned out so cute! I saw the idea floating around of Pinterest and thought it would be a fun activity for early teens and tweens.  The kids seemed to have had such a blast throughout the events of the party. I think it turned out great despite the fact that we didn’t have the first part of the party at the house. The kids still got to hang out at the house later and then the sleepover. Breakfast the following morning was giant Cinnamon rolls, strawberries and orange juice.

Have someone turning 13? Here are some suggested ideas for a 13 Year Old Birthday Party

  • A hangout with friends at an Indoor Trampoline Park – Some include food or they can go back to your house to have food such as pizza, kid-friendly drinks, snacks. It does not have to be the junkiest food ever. There are healthy snacks and drinks on the market.
  • A movie with friends and lunch or dinner after
  • A sleepover – Be sure to include activities with the sleepover such as a spa night, a movie outdoors or indoors, games or crafts. That way, they’ll have some things to do instead of wandering around what to do now. Plus it’s a party so you will want to have at least a couple activities to bring the party.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness (Proverbs 31:27).
