Hi friends, hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! We were able to spent it with my husband’s sister and her family. It was a very fun time for the kids as they played with their cousins and a very fun time for us parents as we chatted and laughed. We needed that little break as there was just a lot going on for us these past few months. So I am very thankful that we got to set everything aside and enjoy an evening with family.

In another note, I’ve been very busy working on creating OUR NEW SHOP this past two months but it was not without hiccups. My blog got messed up for several weeks as the hosting company tried to “help” me make updates. I’m glad things are back to normal now. You can check out our new shop here at shop.athomewithzan.com It still needs polishing but the overall set-up is done. I’ve also been working on these Holiday Planning printables to add to the shop. I know once Thanksgiving is over, the mad dash to Christmas begins! However, the holidays can be a pretty busy and stressful time for many. I know in our household, it is a very busy time.
Holidays/Birthdays/Anniversary in the Same Month
Did I tell you? All our kids were born during the holidays, starting shortly after Thanksgiving, then just before Christmas, and just before New Years. You heard right, a kid for each holiday! And it’s not over yet! Our wedding anniversary is thrown right in the middle of December!! Yes, I can hear you asking ….. “What were y’all thinking?!” We weren’t, hahaha! It’s all good. So when it comes to holiday craziness, I can tell you – we’ve got the experience.
But, having birthdays & anniversary mixed in with the holidays require some serious planning. It means I have to start doing things early and in a some what sensible way. I have to think about gift buying and how to spend wisely, holiday activities for the families, event and party planning, etc, etc, etc. To be honest, it is a lot and I just take one thing as it comes. Yet, there are times when I find myself running around last minute like a crazy woman, trying to get this, that, or the other!! Oh the struggle.
