On April 7 to 18, 2013 we went to Grenada to visit my family. My sister and one of my brothers were the only ones who knew were were coming. My mother was so surprised to see us! Yet, she, along with everyone else were so happy to us, especially to see our two girls. They had never seen them before! At the time, baby Brianna was 3 months old and Shenice was 2 years, 4 months old (28 months). My parents and the kids aunts and uncles just could not get over them:)
Here are some photos from our trip. Hope you enjoy looking at them.
We arrived at Miami International Airport – The Kids in jammies because we left home in the weeeee hours of the morning. In addition, it was way too cold to change them into anything else before we left. It was much easier to scoop them up in their jammies.
Changed into something more presentable while we await our connecting flight.
Arrived at my sister’s home late around 10:00 pm.
Let the fun begin…. My nephew holding our baby girl (3 months old at the time).
Our toddler playing with her cousin.
My nephews going to school in uniform.
Heading to the ocean. As you can tell by now, the baby sleeps at lot…..
At my mom’s home.
Food (we call it “peas soup”).
Mangoes as large as the baby’s head – and they are very sweet, too. Not the typical, un-sweet mangoes you find in the stores here…no offense!
Another kind of fruit – French Cashew
And sugar apples – so sweet…Hubby loved these.
More fun in the sun- clothes hanging outside to dry
Another day at the ocean – My niece and nephews and hubby swimming up-stream.
Went for ice-cream after the ocean – the kids feeding the fish in indoor pond.
Heading out to meet some friends.
Fun times with our friends.
A day at the waterfall, lake, and other places around the island.
More ocean……
Other random photos …..
Heading back home……:(
