Home Organization Cabinets – What I Use Around Our Home

Thanks for Sharing!

These are some of the cabinets I used around my home to organize our house. Some were bought brand new off Wayfair and others, thrifted on Facebook Marketplace. This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.

French Country China Cabinet

This China cabinet was a favorite find on FB marketplace. It was my first actual China cabinet and I took great joy in buying this piece for our home. It’s a really lovely piece and I have kept dishes and mugs in here that are used seasonally or infrequently. Here’s a similar one at Wayfair.

Farmhouse Style Cabinet

This next cabinet is well-beloved by it’s original owner who owned it for 30 years. I believe she was downsizing or something and that’s why she was parting with it. Th only problem was that it had no key to open the cabinet doors – we had to put our hand or something skinny at the top of one of the doors to opened it. Not really hat big of a deal but it was a little tricky at times especially for the kids to open. After a while, on the screws at the bottom of one door (I think it’s the same door) came apart leading the door to hanging. My husband secured it back and now it’s as good as “new”.

I eventually bought a pair of keys on Amazon to put in the door to help open it easily and also to fill the hole. I don’t know what key the cabinet originally came with and what size so these are just generic keys.

These two other cabinets are from Wayfair. I’m currently using them for extra storage as a pantry and extra kitchen equipment holder and the other for miscellaneous items that enter the home – extra decor, lightbulbs, sewing kit, essential oils, and just random stuff that don’t have a home or that we don’t need to use constantly or right away. You can check them out here. They come disassembled. My husband put together both of them. I didn’t get them at the same time though.

Here’s another pretty storage piece I bought before the holidays. It’s lovely in person and has 9 cube storage. I added some baskets just to make the contents in there look neater – crafts, office and school supplies. This would also be good for toys, books, shoes and blankets. It would be also be good to display Legos that have been built or other display collectables.
