Little Boys Natural Hair Braids for Back-to-School

Thanks for Sharing!

Somewhere around the culmination of 3rd Grade, he became interested in dreads. At the beginning of summer, I braided his hair with his natural hair just to try it out. I tried a couple of twists but they didn’t seem to stay well. So I planned to redo his hair and this time twist it with hair-lock gel so it could stay nicely and grow out to locks. However, after removing the first set of braids weeks after, for our summer vacation in Chicago, I didn’t get around (or I forgot to take the time) to lock his hair. For back-to-school, I got it done. After getting a Mohawk from the barber’s, I washed his hair, then braided it with hair-locking gel. The braids felt safter instead of the twists. So here we are and he loves it! It’s so funny when he fluffs it out in the morning. I had the thing all braided down nicely but I guess he loves to see it fluffed up:)
