Aren’t they so cute for kids? I’m not creative with kids food to be honest. So I’m thankful for things like cookie cutters and shaped waffle makers to help me get one little start.
How to Make Festive Christmas WAFFLES
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups flour (Could use 1- 1/2 all-purpose & 1/2whole wheat)
- 1 TBSP baking powder
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 2 eggs (brown or white)
- 1 TBSP honey, agave nectar, or Sugar
- Waffle Iron (I used the Dash Mini Festive Waffle Makers)
DIRECTIONS:
- Heat waffle maker until hot and ready.
- Combine the dry ingredients in bowl. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients together.
- Mix in dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Do not overmix.
- Spray waffle maker with cooking spray.
- Cook waffles on hot griddle until done.
- Place them on a tray and cover to keep warm while you make the rest.
- Serve warm with toppings of choice.
Note: These waffles are freezable. Place individual waffles between parchment paper, wrap well, then place them in a covered freezer bowl or Ziplock freezer bag. When ready to use, toast in a toaster or place them on a baking sheet and heat in a 400 degree oven about 6-7 minutes or until warm and crisp.
