Pumpkin Dumplins can be an addition to Fall soups.
I grew up eating a lot of soup – Pumpkin soup, Green peas soup, Dried peas soup, Chicken soup, you name it. While on Instagram one day, and all the Fall food sharing prompted me to make this Pumpkin Dumplin. Dumplins were usually typically added to soups or eaten as a side dish along with green bananas and other vegetables and meat. But I don’t think we’ve ever had Pumpkin Dumplins.
Since I’ve never made Pumpkin Dumplins, I decided to use a regular dumplin recipe and add pumpkin to it. That’s all it took. Here is how to make Pumpkin Dumplins if you’d like to try it for soups.
Steps
How to Make these Pumpkin Dumplins
What you need:
- 2 Cups Flour
- 1/2 Cup Pumpkin
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 1/4 tsp Salt, optional)
What to do:
Add flour to a bowl. Add pumpkin, salt, and water. Mix, then roll into a dough. Separate dough into smaller pieces. Shape pieces into dumplins – I did, long, round, flat, and pumpkin shape. They did not turn out quite like pumpkins but they’re still dumplins.
