The Yummiest Banana Bread You Could Make

Thanks for Sharing!

I make this Banana bread and it is a big hit among two of my kids. The other one does not like Banana Bread of any kind and my husband is allergic to bananas but can eat banana bread. He too enjoys the bread I make whenever he gets to eat some. By this I mean, sometimes I made the bread as an after school snack and while it may last a day or two, it’s probably not visible to him that there is bread in the kitchen by the time he gets home from work. He’s probably focused on dinner.

In any event, you too can make my “famous” banana bread by following the recipe below.

How to Make My Delicious Banana Bread

You will need:

3 Very Ripe Bananas (the spotted kind)

2-1/4 Cups Flour

1 Cup Sugar

3/4-1 Cup Melted Butter or Cooking Oil

2 Eggs

1 tsp Vanilla

1 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Baking Soda

2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg

Directions:

Heat oven to 35 degrees. Spray a 9×9 ich bread pan or line with parchment paper. Mix bananas with a hand mixer (or whatever mixer you have). If you don’t have a mixer, mash bananas with a hand-held potato masher or a spoon until very mashed. You want to avoid the small chunks of bananas in the mix. Beat in eggs, butter or oil, vanilla. Beat in sugar. Mix dry ingredients and add to banana mixture. Pour into baking pan. Bake at 350 for about 45-50 minutes, or until done. You can use a toothpick to check doneness by sticking it into the bread. If it comes out clean with no batter, the bread is ready.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness (Proverbs 31:27).
