Graham Cracker Ice-Cream Sandwiches are great for a hot Summer’s day or for a Summer holiday such as Independence day.
Why Graham Cracker Ice-Cream Sandwiches
Summer time is perfect for trying out homemade ice-creams. These Graham Cracker Ice-Cream Sandwiches were on the top of my list to remake this summer. Not that I was longing for a Graham Cracker Ice-Cream Sandwich but I once shared a similar recipe here and it seemed to be popular among readers. I don’t have the original recipe but I’ve always wanted to create new photos and do a re-share.
These are some photos of the Steps Below
Layer a 9×13 deep baking pan with parchment paper (for cutting and easy removal)
Layer Graham Crackers, then the Strawberry Ice-Cream
Layer more Graham Crackers then Vanilla Ice-Cream
Finish layering with another set of Graham Crackers
Sprinkle with Patriotic Sprinkles (red, white and blue sprinkles)
Freeze for several hours or overnight
Remove ice-cream from the freezer and use a bread knife to slice through the cracks of the crackers. Use a spatula to scoop out the individual bars.
Patriotic Graham Cracker Ice-Cream Sandwiches
Recipe:
- 1 Box Graham Crackers
- 1 Tub Vanilla Ice-Cream
- 1 Tub Strawberry Ice-Cream
- Red, White, Blue Sprinkles
- A Big enough bowl to hold 1/2 a tub of ice-cream
- A 9×13 Baking Pan lined with Parchment Paper
What to Do:
Run the bowl under hot water until it is hot. Add 1/2 tub Strawberry Ice-Cream to the bowl and stir until softened enough to spread.
Working Quickly:
- Break 1 Pk of Graham Crackers & Layer them in the pan
- Add a layer of Strawberry Ice-Cream from the bowl
- Wash the bowl
- Repeat steps with bowl, Graham Crackers and Vanilla Ice-Cream
- Add Sprinkles, as best as you can
- Place the Sandwiches in the freezer to harden.
- Remove ice-sandwiches from the freezer.
- Use a spatula to cut apart sandwiches within the seems.
- Serve.
Note: The crackers will be softer than normal once the ice-cream is added to it and also, “frozen”. Just think of a regular ice-cream sandwich and how soft the top and bottom is usually. That’s how I picture it to know that I didn’t do something wrong with the recipe.
