Making smoothies at home is cost effective and gives you the option to mix up whatever concoction you want with fruit, veggies to protein, etc. I’m a big fan of smoothies and have tried several different variations with all kinds of fresh fruits and some vegetables. This Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe is filled with a combination of Whole grains, calcium, and protein and is a great way to enjoy a quick and healthy breakfast without much hassle.
Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Oatmeal, Whole or Quick
- 1 Banana
- 1 Cup Ice
- 1/2 to 3/4 Cup Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Agave
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- Toppings: Banana slices, Crushed Nuts, Ground Cinnamon
Directions:
- Add Oatmeal to blender.
- Add in banana.
- Add Peanut Butter, Agave and Cinnamon.
- Pour in Ice, then Milk.
- Blend ingredients together.
- Pour smoothie into a bowl.
- Top with extra banana slices, a sprinkle of cinnamon and crushed nuts.
