Unicorn birthday parties are so much fun for little girls! Our second daughter is a December baby. Last year, when she turned 6, we did a Unicorn party for her birthday. I’m just now posting it since the holidays seem to be such busy times and when it was over we moved and I have not found the right time to share it. So I’m doing it now since you may have little ones who loves unicorns, too!! Her party was really fun. I guess when you have a party with “all things unicorn” it makes everything better:) But if you are having a unicorn party and need some ideas, I hope these ideas help.

Unicorn Party for a 6 Year Old Girl

Our little one is such a girlie girl and so cute in her ways too. She loves all things unicorns, purses, jewelry, clothing, small toys and just about anything that looks like it’s was made for little girls. Here she is at a Big 6! She is our Christmas baby. Since her birthday was a couple days before Christmas, we ended up doing her party that Friday night before her birthday.

The Invitations

We had some unicorn invitations. I’m not sure what happened to the photos of them but she only wanted two of her friends from her new school at her party. One of them lived close by in our neighbourhood and the other not too far from the school. I’m glad their parents were willing to let them come since the kids were all new to each other in Kindergarten.

Decor

These giant unicorn balloons were a big hit! They were so big and worked very well for the party – I was truly amazed! Our daughter loved it! I ordered this set and it also came with those star balloons and 8 party invitations. We all couldn’t be happier. Find them here if you want to get one for your little princesses unicorn’s birthday. She only wanted two of her new friends from her new school at her party. But one was not going to be able to come Saturday (for her actual birthday) so we did it on Friday night. Then we made her special breakfast on her birthday, she played with her siblings, then on Sunday we took her (and her siblings) to an indoor amusement park. Look at that smile:)

The Food and Cake

Pizza and fruit were on the dinner menu which the kids ate well. The unicorn cake was delicious! It was ordered from Walmart and I think they did a good job adding that unicorn topper on it.

Other Treats

Chocolate coated ice cream cones and pretzels were both dipped in white melted white chocolate and sprinkled with rainbow sprinkles. We didn’t each much of these as I think the kids already had parties at school (it was the last day before Christmas break) and weren’t too interested in anymore of these. Even our daughter who seemed to love chocolate covered mini pretzels seemed too excited to eat them. But if you are hosting a unicorn party, these could be something you can add to the treat table.

Unicorn Horn Headbands

Unicorn headbands, tutus, necklaces, rainbow shenanigans, you name it are easy decorations and gifts you can give to a child who loves unicorns. There were 5 kids at the party (our 2 daughters and son and our birthday girl’s friends). This pack of headbands came with the perfect amount so each kid could wear one. Although, our little then 3 year old son opted from wearing one:)

The Activities & Games

We did three different kinds of activities for the kids, unicorn faces, unicorn slime and games. They seemed to enjoy all of them and that made me happy.

Slime Station

We had a slime station with the ingredients to make your own slime and all kinds of sequins (and glitter) to make it rainbow and unicorn-like. The glitter made it a bit messy but that’s the beauty of a Unicorn party. You can use a variety of pastel colors to create any craft or other activity. It all looks so pretty!

Games

My husband was in-charge of the games. Not sure what game they are playing here but they seemed to be having fun. I think I only got one good picture. Either way, the kids had a good time with the games. My husband always does such a great job leading games at the kids parties. We also had a little pony pinata that the kids enjoyed but I don’t see a photo of it. Or is that it in his hand?!! I think so!!

Unicorn Birthday Party

I think the party was a success. As long as the kids had fun that is really what matters, right? It was a full day for the little one since she had Christmas break class party and pajama earlier at school. But it was the weekend plus she was now off school for the holidays so that meant sleeping in. Not really, she probably was up bright and earl the following day since it was her actual birthday!!
