Hi moms! I’m super excited about this post mainly because I love fashion and love looking at fashion poses!! Weird I know! Whether you’re someone who is heavily into fashion or simply don’t have the time to put into it, we all need to find clothing to wear, don’t we? So today’s post should be exciting for you, too moms! But while I love fashion, I’m definitely not a fashion blogger mainly because I don’t know that I could get dressed-up all the time to get photos taken. I’ve tried it a couple times and it ended up being on Sundays on the way to church or after church when my husband home and could take them. But guys, even then I felt like it was a rush in the mornings or threw off my afternoon focus. I do take lots of random photos when I’m dressed (not necessarily planned) in hopes to share on Instagram which never really get posted! Big time fail over here – you moms and ladies know how it goes!!
Fall Wardrobe Capsule – What Is It?
A fall wardrobe capsule simply means having a few different pieces of clothing and footwear that you can mix and match to create different outfit combinations. That way, you can control how much you buy (if you are adding new) or you can control what you wear instead of just randomly winging it and hopping things come together. Or worse yet, roaming your closet for hours trying to find something to put on. Is that what it is – girl I’m assuming!
In any event, as Fall has arrived and the cooler weather slowly creeps in, it’s time to get those warm outfits together. Do you ever find yourself scrambling for the appropriate warm piece of clothing once the cooler weather steps in? Or do you often find yourself in the stores not knowing exactly what to pick and maybe end up going back with nothing or the same few pieces over and over again. Well let’s fix this and I’m talking to me too here. Putting this post together has definitely helped me already in deciding on a Fall wardrobe (capsule). It’s like I had a light bulb moment. Who needs a Fall wardrobe capsule, anyways? I mean, shouldn’t just anything comfy goes. Maybe so. But it’s great to have a few different pieces for different outings and events that you can mix and not feel like you are wearing the same thing (such as leggings or denims and oversize sweaters) at home and to every other outing. Guilty here!!
Ideas for A Fall Wardrobe Capsule Together
I took a few images from a few pieces I had on hand to show you how you can mix and match your outfits. I used 1 cardigan, 1 plaid shirt, 2 undershirts, 2 pants and 2 boots.
Idea #1: Cardigan and Boots worn with two different looks – change out the undershirt and pants and there you’ll have two different looks.
Idea #2: Change out the pants and just like that you have two different outfits you can wear. You can always change the boots too for one of them. How easy right?!
Now that you have these two ideas as an example, it’s easy to see how you can plan your outfits much better. I’m seriously loving this myself.
