Back to School Preparation is a Lot.

Back-to-School after the summer months is a big event for kids as well as for parents! It can bring on a lot of emotions (excitement, joy, happiness, anxiousness, etc). New grades, sometimes new school and first time in school, new teachers, new and old friends, new expectations, new routines, getting up early, and the list goes on. . . . Just writing that out got me a little emotional. I guess it just “hit” me now – That’s a lot for kids. Not to mention the new added rules for this year.

As parents, that means getting all their back-to-school supplies ready and planning for the school year if they are going to be homeschooled. If they are heading out to school, who will drive them? Are you, your spouse, the school bus, or are you car-pulling? There’s much to think about and put together for a new school year.

Back to School Anxiety!

I for one can tell you it brings on much anxiety, especially as I’m into homeschooling. Trying to balance the things of the house along with homeschooling is no easy feat. I know it’s only by God’s daily grace that I can do what I do.

But as the new school year rolls in, I wanted to share some Essential Oil blends for your diffuser and rollers to help keep you and the little ones calm and focused.

Please Note: I have been using Essential Oils for a while now and I’m certainly not here to tell you whether or not you should. But I do believe they have some benefits when applied topically (on the skin). My list of recommendation is from my personal experiences.

Why I Use Essential Oils

Because I grew up in a home that was pretty much naturally made – from the food we ate to what we used for wellness and what we used around the house. My mom used things like

  • camphor oils when we had colds
  • a sweating method for my brother’s sinuses
  • lime peel tea for tummy aches, etc.

So I’m not just using oils because there’s a trend or want to convince someone that oils are the best thing out there on the market. I like to use a variety of natural products (oils are just one of them) because I have the background and experience of what to look for (hard to come by sometimes, though).

Now that we’ve clarified some things, if you use oils or plan to try them, here are some ideas for back-to-school days. We already know that school looks a lot different this year. I hope these ideas would help you and your little ones stay calm and focused as you begin the new school season.

Essential Oil Roller Blends to Calm Anxiousness

One of the ways to make Essential Oils easier to use is by adding them to small bottles called roller bottles. Pure Essential Oils are strong and most need to be diluted with another oil called a carrier oil before using. By adding the mix of oils to roller bottles, it will be easy to grab and use at the ready. You’ll also save your oils by premixing them in the rollers. So instead of every time you need to use an oil you have to go add a drop or two to and mix, it will be already mixed up. My favorite carrier oils are Fractionated Coconut Oil & Jojoba Oil (good for skin). So without further ado, I want to share some roller bottle oil blends to for this school year.
