Bath Salts & Epsom Salts Benefits

Looking for an easy way to relax tired muscles? Bath Salts from Epsom salts have been know to do so. Adding a cup of Epsom salts to your bath tub full of water can help you relax those muscles and has several other benefits. See my post here.

  • eases stress
  • relaxes the body
  • relieves muscle pain and cramps
  • eliminates body toxins
  • relieves constipation
  • improves heart health
  • may reduce diabetes

The beautiful thing about it is that you can add other natural ingredients to the Epsom salts to create your very own customization. You could make it colorful, fancy, more rejuvenating or just use it plain.

What You Can Add to Epsom Salts to Create Bath Salts

All you need is a bag of bath Salts (which is super frugal, by the way) and your add-ins to mix up whatever combinations you would like. You could add just one other ingredient to bath salts or a combination of a few. As an example, herbs plus essential oils plus natural food coloring can create something beautiful.

Two-Ingredient Herb & Essential Oil Bath Salts

This Bath Salts only has two ingredients but it’s packed full of essential oils too since both the Epsom Salts and Bath Tea already have Essential Oils mixed into them. I also love that this Epsom Saltย contains other natural ingredients such as Shea butter and Almond Oil. You can get plain Epsom Salts hereย and the exact one I used with Shea Butter and Almond oil here.

What you need

What to do

  • Add 1-1/2 Cups Epsom Salts to a glass bowl.
  • Mix in 1/4 Cup Bath Tea.
  • Pour the mix into a Mason Jar or other glass jar. Keep covered.
  • When needed, add about a 1/2 of bath salts into your tub of water.

Make it a Mother’s Day Gift

You can make this as a gift to someone you know may need a little bit of relaxation from sore muscles or just from their day to day activities. How about an easy gift for mom? Moms are always up and about doing chores, working, or taking care of their family’s needs about theirs. Help mom relax with a good soak with this beautiful looking Bath Salts recipe. All you need is the two ingredients listed and aย Mason Jar and you’re all set. You may choose to add a bath towel Setย and even some cookies to complete your gift. Check out these hand towels here.

To Give as a gift

  • Tie a ribbon around the jar. Attach a gift tag with the instructions of how to use the bath salts. Enjoy!
