Make The Best Rice Crispy Treats for Your Family and Friends
This version of Rice Crispie is so delicious and so easy to make. I’m not really a Rice Crispy snacking kind of girl but I do occasionally make some for our kids. For a while when the kids were younger, we frequented making these on Sundays as a weekend treat. They loved it. Now I just make them occasionally when I remember or according to the seasons.
It’s being a while since I’ve made an original Rice Crispy so I thought I would make some for an after school snack for the kids. I think I got them just right. These are soft-ish (not hard) and the marshmallow blended with the cereal made a good combination.

How to Make Rice Crispy Treats
What you need:
- 6 Cups Rice Crispy Cereal
- 1 16-oz Bag Mini Marshmallows
- 1 Stick Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Directions:
- Line a large baking pan with parchment paper; Gently spray with cooking spray and set aside
- Using a large pot, melt butter on low heat.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Add marshmallow and to mixture, stirring gently until melted.
- Turn off the heat. Immediately add the rice Crispies.
- Stir gently.
- Spread mixture unto the prepared baking pan; allow to cool.
- Once cooled, cut into squares. Serve.
- Note: Be sure to allow Ric Crispies to cool a bit before cutting. If you cut them to early, they will fall apart.
